Wild black bear breaks into California zoo just to politely watch the other bears, then walks back home into the forest: 'Just another visitor at the zoo'

He was a better guest than most. 

It's not everyday that you get to see a wild black bear, and especially not in a zoo of all places. But that's exactly what happens in this hilarious story below. Usually you'd think that wild animals would want to steer as far away from places like zoos or captivities where their freedom and independence is taken from them, but in the news below, a black bears waltzes into the Sequoia zoo in Eureka, California and gently observes the other bears. He watches from behind the railing at the other bears living in captivity. He doesn't make noise, he doesn't try to enter the area, he just watches politely with his two feet planted on the ground. After having his time there, he just waltzes out exactly as he came in and goes to his home in the forest. Talk about a unique day on the job. Maybe this bear is a philosopher of sorts, and wanted to see something for himself. Maybe he knew exactly where he was going, and he knew someone in the zoo and wanted to pay a visit. Maybe someone told him it's quite a spectacle. And maybe he just had no idea where he was but decided to enjoy the ride!

  • Bears are one of the more impressive but dangerous and unique animals in the world. They're huge, powerful, intelligent, and actually quite adaptable. We're so drawn to them because they're a symbol of strength and courage against the teeming dangers of the wilderness. Inside their intimidating stature is just a giant who's like a teddy bear. There are so many different types of bears and they all have unique features. Despite their fearsome reputation, they spend much of their lives searching for food and don't find themselves in trouble the way people imagine. They're ominous and aren't hunters like they're made out to be. Yes, they do love salmon diving for fresh fish in a river, but who doesn't? Salmon is one of the most delicious and healthy meals there is. They are highly clever on top of their great stature. They have great memories, which make them adaptable when it comes to locating food sources. They are uncannily good at knowing where to find their food and survive. I remember camping a lot when I was a teen and young adult and we were always afraid of a bear coming to steal our food, but luckily nothing like that ever happened.
